My name is Wendy and together with my husband Maurice (aka, Mo), we own Into the Woods Event Space.

Mo and I grew up in Greensburg and have raised our 3 children Madelyn (23), Taylor (21), and Riley (19) here as well.

It all started with a statement made by my husband about opening up a wedding venue on our farm, which to say the least, totally caught me off guard. So, let’s flashback to two years ago when my daughters and I began watching an HGTV show called, “Escape to the Chateau”, which featured a family that had moved into a castle in France to open a wedding venue.  We thought – “We can do this!” – well minus the castle and certainly not in France. Anyway, we had fun planning it even though at the time we thought it was just a dream.

          I didn’t grow up with Pinterest, but I did grow up with Martha Stewart. So, if I planned a party, I had to go above and beyond. And God love my husband Mo, he was always there to help me pull it off! My kids didn’t just have birthday parties, they had Murder Mystery Parties or filmed horror movies with their friends. It was always something that required a lot of planning and attention to detail – which I loved!

       So back to the venue! What a perfect outlet for my inner Martha Stewart to come out and my husband’s ability to make anything I throw at him. We are both very excited to bring this venue to Greensburg, Indiana. Our guarantee is that we will give your special event the same attention to detail to make it the best day ever!
